About AI text summarizing

Paste an article, report, transcript or long email and choose what you want back. Short gives two or three sentences with only the main points. Medium gives one paragraph of four to six sentences that adds the key supporting details. Detailed gives two to four short paragraphs, under 350 words, that follow the order of the original and keep its main facts, figures and conclusions. Bullet points gives exactly five numbered key points. Every option tells the model to use only information from your text. Summaries can still leave out something that matters to you or blur a number, so check names, figures and dates against the source before you repeat them. Input is capped at 1,500 tokens, counted as characters divided by three with the instructions included. That is about 4,000 characters or roughly 650 words, a long blog post rather than a report, so split longer documents into sections and summarize each. The summarizer is a premium tool with one free lifetime trial per account, then 200 AI requests a month on Basic or 500 on Pro. Your text goes to Astroworld's server and an AI language model.

Frequently asked questions

What's the longest input?

1,500 tokens, which the tool estimates as characters divided by three, including the instructions sent with your text. In practice that is about 4,000 characters, or roughly 650 words of English. For a book chapter or a long report, summarize section by section and then summarize the summaries.

Will it invent facts?

It is instructed to use only what's in your text, but language models can still misread a sentence or mix up two numbers. Treat the summary as a guide to the source, not a replacement, and check anything you plan to quote.

Can I get bullet points?

Yes. Choose Bullet points in the menu to get exactly five numbered key points, each written as a full sentence.

Does it summarize web pages from a link?

No, it only reads text you paste. Open the page, copy the article without the menus and comments, and paste that in. Cleaner input gives a better summary and leaves more room under the limit.
